A Soldier in Need of Your Help: Captain Carl Bjork

Thank you for visiting this website. Chances are you were directed here because you have heard about the false accusations made against Carl by the Iraqi's who have been imprisoned for actually committing the crime. We are so grateful for all the support we have received for Carl in this matter, most notably on Facebook. Thank you for getting and keeping the word out.

With Carl facing life in prison, the family has hired an experienced civilian attorney to handle this case. Now that he will be going to trial, an additional attorney is needed adequately prepare his defense. As you may know, good representation is necessary, and costly. Unfortunately, Carl is incurring a lifetime of debt to battle the false accusations made against him. For those who want to help, we have set up this link to accept contributions to help pay for the rising legal costs of Carl's defense. Any and all donations are appreciated - $10, $20, $50 - whatever the amount. Please know that if you cannot contribute, your thoughts and prayers are equally appreciated!

For those of you that have not had the opportunity to learn Carl’s story, here is a summary:

Captain Carl August Bjork is a 28 year old man who has dedicated his life to the United States Army and our country. He has served in Iraq as a Ranger, and is well respected by fellow soldiers and others who cross his path. He has a Bronze Star commendation among other awards, and he also was on track to become a Green Beret. About two years ago, Carl was sent back to the States and was told that he was under investigation for a double murder that occurred during his 2006-2007 deployment in Hit, Al Anbar Province, Iraq. His accusers, who are the only witnesses/evidence in this alleged crime, are four disgraced former Iraqi police who are imprisoned for the murder of two Iraqi civilians – believed to be Iraqi al queda. Evidence suggests that one of these Iraqi police, an Iraqi Police Colonel, was motivated by revenge to commit these murders, as his brother was beheaded in a public forum by the Iraqi al queda killed in this crime. Now these disgraced Iraqis are looking for a "get out of jail free" ticket, and have accused Carl of ordering the murders to take place. Carl was not even present at the scene of these murders. He simply trained the Iraqi police as part of his duty.

Unfortunately, the US Military court system seems to believe the word of these detained Iraqi men. Carl is currently in Baghdad awaiting his trial. The situation begs the question: How is this possible? Carl is an honorable man, a man who put his life on the front line to serve for our country. Is this how we repay our MEN WHO SERVE? It is rather ironic that after all the dangerous missions Carl has successfully completed during his Army career, he is brought to his knees by the very institution he has fought for.

Capt. Carl Bjork, our loved one, brother, son, uncle, colleague, and friend has been wrongly accused and faces court-martial proceedings in Iraq. While we all know the charges against him are baseless and will be refuted in court, legal representation is not free, nor is it even cheap. We thank you in advance for ANY assistance you can provide, either financial or emotional. We will continue to keep you informed on Facebook of the progress of this case as information is available and news outlets pick up coverage.

This is the ONLY Bjork family approved donation site. Please don't be taken by scammers! Also be aware that this is not a nonprofit organization and your gift is not tax-deductible. Thank you again for your support.
